The Thrill Of It All Lyrics
Inclination of direction, walk the turned and twisted rift
With the children of creation futuristic dreams we sift
Clutching violently we whisper with a liquefying cry
Any deadly final answers that are surely doomed to die
Won't you help me Mr. Jesus, won't you tell me if you can?
When you see this world we live in, do you still believe in Man?
If my songs become my freedom, and my freedom turns to gold
Then I'll ask the final question, if the answer could be sold
Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it
'Cause I've got no reason to lie, yeah
Forget your problems that don't even exist
And I'll show you a way to get high, oh yeah
Oh yeah!
So come along, you know you matter to me
Remember freedom is not hard to find, yeah
Time to stop all your messing around
Don't you think that I know my own mind, oh yeah
Oh yeah!
Why can't you believe, it's not here to perceive
Do you always have to be told, yeah
For you have been taught that if your mind has been bought
Life's entire answer was sold, oh yeah
Oh yeah!

at first i hated this song, but now i feel like it's one of Black Sabbath's best pop-metal tracks. i always think of the phrase "forget your problems that don't even exist" ..... that is great advice. i mean, we all live our lives and we all have problems, but just letting them go is the best way to deal with life...... so, in my opinion, the message of this song is : ENJOY YOUR LIFE AND "THE THRILL OF IT ALL".
@jejh Hated this song? HATED THIS SONG? This is Black Sabbath at their very best man.

I really love this song excellent riff man
This is one of the best Sabbath songs ever, especially because it asks Jesus if He believes in Man.
Incredible song, lyrically deep, combined with the usual awesome Tony Iommi riff. Very underrated.
I blasted this song out my dorm window when I graduated from college. Amazing, powerful lyrics and simply a great tune.
Fantastic track. Very uplifting
This is in my top 5 Sabbath tunes of all time. War Pigs, Wheels of Confusion, Junior's Eyes, The Thrill of It All, & Into the Void. Hard to narrow that down, but I just tried lol
I think the lyrics tries to show us how the humankind can be destructive. Spending time on wasted things, trying to answer something that "we" will never know.
to think about: "There's no god, there's no devil! There's no heaven, there is no hell" Tim Maia song
Regarding the song itself, i just love!
Black Sabbath in my heart!
