Seeing as they're a Christian band, I interpret it as a song about someone who is lost, perhaps bullied by other people, whose words 'tear you apart,' 'You're cornered in a place you don't know.' and that the only cure for the pain is belief in God, the 'new medicine.'
i interpret as someone who is being bullied for not fitting in... The new medicine part could be something like trying to fix it with drugs or with the wrong things... but i dont know...
