The Dreamclub Murders Lyrics

So after all, you needed more than a death-threat fall.
You needed more, and I let you fall.
Into the coffin with your floor-dropped jaw.
And I remember you aspiration, your dream to fit in.
But it's gone, and they're here.
So let's kill these felons now.

But I remember you, you'll go, you'll find a way back home.
But I remember you, when you stand there,
You stand with your eyes closed.

And I feel, tonight, that I let you die.
But you could have lived forever, it took smiles to keep you alive.
But heroes die, and so did mine.
But you go, and I stay, will it keep you at peace now.

But I remember you, you'll go, you'll find a way back home.
But I remember you, when you stand there,
You stand with your eyes closed.

And I'll dig you out, and I'll sit you up.
For the fools to find you, the fools breathe into you.

So sleep child no one can touch you now.
No one can hurt you now. Not here. Anymore.

i don't try to say what this song means to the band so this is what this song means to me: i think this song is basically about not witnessing you faith to people who so dearly need it. "you needed more and i let you fall" great line great song great band

That's almost exactly what I was thinking, this song seems to be about realizing you weren't always there for somebody who needed it the most.

well i have a different opinnion for me it means about growing up, realizing you`re not a child anymore, sometimes something big in your life happens so you can realize that you are not a child anymore

I think, its about a friend, who now is dead. His life ways always on the fast track and meant everything to the writer. The writer never had to worry about him, cause "he always found a way back home". But then he died (Maybe The car accident friend of "Glass in the trees). And suddenly a whole world broke down for the singer, he couldn´t realize it, because the friend was like a hero for him... The best die to fast.... So in the end he remembers when they were kids, he was sometimes helpless and his fiend helped him, so now he needs to sleep. Maybe...

i love this, especially the high pitches. brilliant. the vocals are really intense and portrays a profound emotion, i think. it really appears that he is belting out a message to someone out there.

every band has a distinct screamer and i personally think dead poetic is one of the best. the balance between the mellow singer and the hardcore screamer is virtually perfect. arghhh, why did the band have to break up

Break up???????? WTF? They´re bigger than ever.....

i agree with whitewolfmaze about the friend dying. 'the dreamclub murders' might be the result of drunk driving (because of glass in the trees) "And I remember you aspiration, your dream to fit in." .. drinking to fit in?

The band didn't break up, though now there are only two founding members (Brandon and Zach). So the sound of their next album will be very different, almost as though it is another band, yeah.
