The Accident Underwater Lyrics

Spread apart on a hospital bed
With a purple heart pinned on it
A fossil that's not quite dead
But I'm invincible here,
Mildly invisibly clear,
From warming up to an old friend.
Just a connoisseur of dirt,
Celebrating my worth,
I can count on one hand, useless or not,

There's a number of useless things,
My useless hands have caught,
Fix me medicine,
Fix me cast,
Fix me strong so I can last.
And it got so bright it died,
And blew up all over the inside,
Of my leather white eyes,
And just spread all over
It got so bright it died,
And blew up all over the inside,
Of my leather white eyes,
It just spread all over,
Just spread all over (spread all over)

Planned out like a chemistry set,
A dog fight with no means to eject,
They never taught us about that.
I bought the world as a gift,
Now it's too heavy to lift,
And that's exactly how I'll leave it.
This elevation is sick,
We can go much higher or lower
Where anything is better than here
I remember all the useless things,
My useless hands have caught.
Fix me mom,
Fix me fast,
Wrap me up so I can last.

And it got so bright it died,
And blew up all over the inside,
Of my leather white eyes,
It just spread all over.

cmon you guys, give these guys some credit, not all their songs are about getting heartbroken and doing drugs

this song is about visiting an old person at the hospital, most likely his grandfather, who was once strong and is now very frail "bought the world as a gift but now its too heavy to lift"

its about the way he feels about it and it seems like since he is young he will never get this way but inevitebly everyone does "im invincible here"

its also about trying to prolong ones life by use of medical technology but fighting an impossible battle "fix me medicine, fix me cast"

This song also reminds me of "Guernica" by Brand New which is about Jesse Lacey's grandfather losing the fight against the reprocutions of smoking and he was unable to be there due to touring, you guys check it out

I might be completely wrong, but to me this song sounds like it´s told by someone who´s come back from the war and is hurt and traumatized. In a hospital, with honor medals (purple heart pinned on) and all these horrible memories (and it got so bright it died and blew up all over the inside - maybe a bomb going off?) and wishing for healing. I don´t know, maybe I´m way off, but that´s what I got from it.

"And it got so bright it died, And blew up all over the inside, Of my leather white eyes"

-- That part makes it sound like someone went blind, maybe? I have no idea what this song means.

this song is about getting hospitalized for trying to kill yourself and thinking about how your gonna kill yourself when you get out ill give a few examples

Spread apart on a hospital bed With a purple heart pinned on and Far so last not quite there But I'm invincible here - It means he came close to actually killing himself but he didnt die...im invincible here means he cant kill himself cause he doesnt have access to things to help him do it

Fix me medicine, Fix me cast, Fix me strong so I can last. - psychiatric meds, the cast is probably from a broken leg from when he tried to jump off a building or something

I bought the world as a gift, Now it's too heavy to lift, That's exactly how I'll leave it. This elevation is sick, We can go much higher or lower Where anything is better than here - it means it was a gift that he was born but now he doesnt wanna live so hes going to kill himself..higher or lower referes to heaven or hell where he feels it would be better then where hes at now

I think this song (like many others by Northstar) is about using heroin. Basically I think he had quit using and relapsed. When he relapsed he overdosed and ended up in the hospital.

From warming up to an old friend. He relapsed, overdosed and ended up in the hospital

'Just a connoisseur of dirt, celebrating my worth' Dirt in this case being heroin

The useless things hes caught could possibly be a reference to buying the heroin

Fix me medicine, fix me cast could either be referring to his self medicating with heroin, or more likely it could represent his desire to get clean

It got so bright it died and blew up all over the inside etc.. could be referring to him overdosing

Planned out like a chemistry set. A dogfight with no means to eject. This could mean he has all his needles etc set up in front of him and he can't escape his addiction

This elevation is sick we can go much higher or lower where anything is better than here could mean he just wants to be intoxicated with any kind of drug rather than be sober whether it be uppers (higher) or downers (lower)

and I'm totally beat on the bought the world as a gift part.
