Mid-Life Krysis Lyrics

Memories fill your harbor
History to be made
Jealousy in the cupboard
You with me until the grave

Mid-life krysis, you invited everyone
You can't wake, you can't wake from this nightmare

Everyday is like the movies
Third world war on the rise
Take it in the city
Making love to get high

Mid-life krysis, you invited everyone
You can't wake, you can't wake from this nightmare

I waste my time, I waste my
Don't waste my time, don't waste my
I waste my time, I waste my
Don't waste my time, don't waste my

Little Jane, say you're in love with me
Say it yourself
Maybe then you'll have some children
Maybe you ain't have one

Mid-life krysis, you invited everyone
You can't wake, you can't wake from this nightmare
You invited everyone
You can't wake, you can't wake from this nightmare

There's a slight error in the lyrics; the actual chorus is: Mid-life krysis, you invited everyone You can't win, you can't wake from this nightmare

Travis have done it again. They make songs that fit into my life. Great instrumentation too.

Agh, it's all indiscernible!

I will guess that the stanza about Little Jane is about a doomed marriage where there ain't one child.

Song Meaning

I think this song talks about. Being 25-35 YO. You know. About how you suddenly reliaze you're a grown up person and it hits you like heavy sht. You know. Probabbly being in the middle of an incresingly frustrated married. With lots of posibilities of having kids or being a lonley poor ass without family of your own. Also that provocative line: "you invited everyone" means how al fking people you know and are close to you watch you slowly turn into a cynical-seseless life monster. So yeah at the end "you cant escape from this nightmare" means you just have to deal with it and accept your posible shity life as you get older day by day.
