first of all, when i go to song meanings i want to know what the hell the song means, not that it makes you happy or that its your favourite. granted, it does ask what it means to you, but, its an interpretation....grr...now that i'm done with my rant, i'm not sure what this song means, and i was hoping to be enlightened here, but i couldn't be...so if you have an idea, hit me up please?

This ssong is easily explained...on the count of I am going through it now...Its about a girl who is overpowering your relationship. You are too afraid to tell her how you feel...out of fear that she will do something drastic...She is the blade, and can cut the paper at anytime...so you are scared...but the song also shows that she took everything you had...your heart your soul and your life...and you want it back...so the song contradicts itself because in the end the song switches to past tense...showing that the courage was found and that relationship was ended.

i think this song is about a girl.. obviously. but a guy, in love with this girl. he refers to himself as the paper.

"Shes the blade and you're just paper You're afraid cause shes got closer"

and each time, he falls in love with her, and she just turns around and cuts him even more.

"Your back-steppin and shes out wrecking everything in your life"

when you back-step away from something, your do exactly that. you step back. imagine her as a wrecking ball, and he's just stepping back from the horid sight.
