The song is Bad Religions version of "the grass is always greener on the other side" saying. They do this by citing many different types of fantasies and ideals and how they went wrong.

These lyrics aren't really all that bad either. If you have to hide your message in a fuckload of big words you're not really a poet. You're more of a pretentious asshole. Thats why 'less is more' is a good formula once in a while. I find that the lyrics to this song portray it's message elegantly. Wise men don't need to use a lot of words.

Just listening to these assholes makes me want to slit my own throat. GRATITUDE is the key but they don't seem to be able to find good in anything. Oh but they are so smart so they must have all the answers. This kind of shity doesn't surprise me from these atheist Darwinist losers.
