Tomorrow Morning Lyrics
Two thousand miles but that's all right
I'll see you in the morning if that's all right
What would you do if I wrote you a song
would you give me some loving when I get home
or would you be mad at me if I had a hard time
getting a hold of you, I try all the time
I'll bet that you don't know anybody that could be so bad
but if you did you'd be wondering where I'm at
I'll be home when tomorrow morning comes
What would you do if I sang you this song
the connection is bad but that's only the phone
when my words kiss your ear, I'll be right there
the message is long because baby this is your song
I'll bet that you don't know anybody that could be so bad
but if you did you'd be wondering where I'm at
I'll be home when tomorrow morning comes
I'll see you in the morning if that's all right
would you give me some loving when I get home
or would you be mad at me if I had a hard time
getting a hold of you, I try all the time
but if you did you'd be wondering where I'm at
I'll be home when tomorrow morning comes
the connection is bad but that's only the phone
when my words kiss your ear, I'll be right there
the message is long because baby this is your song
but if you did you'd be wondering where I'm at
I'll be home when tomorrow morning comes

A few people have commented on this song under the wrong name of "Haleiwa," but I must say this is a favorite from "On and On." The first verse "what would you do..." reminds be of the Beatles "With A Little Help From My Friends." Does anyone else hear that?
lyrics=way wrong...on the CD theres an intro...
not impressed
on a positave note:
yes, i too see the what would you do..and beatles connection...sharp mind... props to you..
This Song Is a portrayal of love. JJ Really loves his wife, and you can see how much this is true based on this song. Even though he is away from her he wants her to know how much he loves her. Love The Song. Feel The Emotions
The song was actually written by jack for his wife while he was away surfing for the september sessions movie iirc. He couldn't get a hold of her and he left a message on the answering machine with the "what would you do ..."
His wife loved the message (which girl wouldn't ?) and she asked him to make a complete song out of it .. and he did, and it rocks :)
this song just makes me happy. it's so sweet.. :)

-the part that is wrong is:
well that's alright yes that's alright 2,000 miles well still that's alright
and that's alright if that's alright I'll see you in the morning if that's alright
Well I guess I'm extremely cynical. Am I the only one that thought someone was cheating on someone in this song? Either way it makes the lyrics more fun for me this way.
He's far away, so she has opportunity. He is checking to make sure he can come in the morning. Either he feels guilty, or he doesn't want her to be with someone else in the morning.
He's trying to get some sex, but he doesn't know if she's mad at him or if he should be at her, since she's never home to answer the phone.
There it is. Why is he so bad? Or is she bad? And if either of them are "so bad" then someone is cheating. And if you're cheating, you might not be coming back.
An obviously smooth rock 'n roller make up line.
Like I said, it's way more fun this way. Sure it's not as innocent and sweet, but I prefer the snarky interpretation. Anyone with me on this?
I love this song, especially the intro. I've always had this story in my head of the wife being half asleep at the beginning, which is why the voice sounds fuzzy and far away. The husband's like, "I'm going two thousand miles away, is that okay?" and she's like, "sure whatever." and goes back to sleep. Then he goes far away and parties with a bunch of his friends, and she's pretty mad, but of course all is forgiven because they are so in love... Idk, that's just the story that's always been in my head!
