Audio Blood Lyrics
Every Friday at three
shadows escape from the factory.
If you can go to the show,
hurry up and get back to me.
Tonight we meet underground
where the air is thick like mud,
and the bands make noise
that we call audio blood.
Every weekend we're ignighting
like chemical fires.
Youth centers fill with teens.
They fill with vampires.
Sweating in the dark we're freed
as the weight of the week
falls away with a thud.
Sweating in the dark we feed
on the forms in the light;
on the floor we're the flood.
We bleed, we bleed, we bleed
audio blood.
And all through the week,
whispers follow the shadows down the halls.
Our handstamps fade,
and I cringe at the stupid names we're called.
Every weekend we are massing,
seeking sonic escape.
The shadows flood the floor
and start to take shape.
Sweating in the dark we're freed
as the weight of the week
falls away with a thud.
Sweating in the dark we feed
on the forms in the light;
on the floor we're the flood.
We bleed, we bleed, we bleed
audio blood.
This is how we bleed in audio...
let down your skin,
let the wind blow though your veins.
This is how we bleed in audio...
Sweating in the dark we're freed
as the weight of the week
falls away with a thud.
Sweating in the dark we feed
on the forms in the light;
on the floor we're the flood.
We bleed, we bleed, we bleed...
audio blood.

i think this song is about going to a show..or playing one. audio blood...music. "Sweating in the dark we're freed as the weight of the week falls away with a thud" you tend to sweat at concerts, and now all your worries of the past week are gone, cause your jjust enjoying yourself and the music.
before i went to their concert this song got me so pumped -- yea the lyrics are deffinatly talking about goin to a concert and how awesome it feels when you get there and your listenin to the music after you've been waiting for it! ::i heart the matches:
This song is about going to a show. Shawn (the lead singer) said that throughout high school, he felt a little out of place.. and going to the local shows (few and far between as they were) really made him feel like home. Like he could be himself.. and just let the bullshit from the week slip away from him. And that's what this song is about because he's had many people tell him the same things about going to shows.
i agree. the song is very about the sheer fantasticness of going to a concert and really just soaking everything in. It's sort of overwhelming, but in the best way possible.
i love "Youth centers fill with teens. They fill with vampires." which im assuming means that the music/audio blood is like blood to vampires
this song is amazing and is about exactly how i felt when i heard this song whilst walking up the stairs at rock city for the first time when they weresupporting r.b.f a few days ago The Matches Rule
Every time I hear this song I remember the first time I went to see the Matches (4 years back...). "Our handstamps fade, and I cringe at the stupid names we're called." Yup. That's a local show, all right.
The Matches ROCK for all the L3's that I've gone to over the years. They play in San Rafael tonight!
I just went to the L3 show the other day and they played this song and when they sang "This is how we bleed in audio... let down your skin, let the wind blow though your veins." everyone in Slim's knelt down and was quiet and then when they sang "Sweating in the dark we're freed" everyone jumped up. It was soo great. It was definitely a great moment. It gives me the chills just thinking about it. The Matches are sooo awesome. Their new CD comes out in September, and i'm so excited for it!
this song is so true to life
catches the energy of a show, y'know what i mean? reminds me of me in some ways.... and school is a factory. i think what really gets us all about shows etc. is the fact that all the people there probably don't know everybody there but we all get along. everyone's there for this one thing we all have in common (i.e. the band and the music) and that's just so fucking awesome!! because, for the most part, there's no hard feelings after a show and everyone's there to just kick back and have fun... and the best part? everybody knows that!! and i think this song really reflects the freedom everybody feels when they go to a concert....
