Fix what’s wrong, but don’t rewrite what the artist wrote. Stick to the official released version — album booklet, label site, verified lyric video, etc. If you’re guessing, pause and double-check.

Respect the structure

Songs have rhythm. Pages do too. Leave line breaks where they belong. Don’t smash things together or add extra empty space just for looks.

Punctuation counts (but vibe-editing doesn’t)

Correct typos? Yes. Re-punctuating a whole verse because it ‘looks better’? Probably not. Keep capitalization and punctuation close to the official source.

Don’t mix versions

Let the lyrics be lyrics

Edit lightly

If two lines are wrong… fix the two lines. No need to bulldoze the whole page. Think ‘surgical,’ not ‘remix.’

it's an awesome song i just have no idea what it all means. i know that the "cross my heart" line means that he's sick of making promises but i really have a tough time interpreting the rest.

Crossing his heart is definitely making promises to others and crossing his wrists is most likely cutting himself. He just wants things to change. I believe Miya is another friend of his. Either she's suffering similarly to him or she has already suffered and he is self-conscious around her because she's already gone through a lot and she is sighing because he's being over-dramatic and she thinks he should just get over himself (or he thinks she thinks that). Cathartic to the max
