You say I am loca because I am your girl
You say I am stupid because I am your girl
You leave me out on the steps you dress me up like a boy
You say that I am your secret love
You say to be quiet but I want to tell the whole world
I like my neighborhood I like my gun
Drive in my little car I am your girl and I will protect you
We do it in the back of my little car
Pull up my pants and fix my bra go on home to your kids
I'm going to be quiet and I'm going to tell the whole block

General CommentThe live performance of this song is amazing on Life and Live.

Especially in the middle of it where there's all the chaos. Jamie does it all with his voice.

General CommentI don't think this song is about pedophilia. I mean the narrator is obviously old enough to drive, a child would not be. I do think the narrator is considerably younger than their love interest who I think is of latinx or hispanic background because the song title contains a spanish word "guerrilla" and so does the first line "You say I am loca because I am your girl."
(Loca means young or wild in Spanish).

Personally I think this song is about two women having a sexual relationship. They meet in her car to be intimate then the narrator drops them off to go back to their family and their kids. The narrator is asked to keep the relationship private but they want to tell the whole world. The line about the narrator being dressed up as a boy by their lover makes me think their partner isn't comfortable with their relationship and has to dress the other in more masculine to make it seem more heterosexual. The narrator doesn't care, she is her girl and will protect her from others finding out. She is a sad baby warrior for their lover, as the title can be translated to. (pony because she's young or a baby
guerrilla because she's protecting and fighting for her lover)

General CommentThis song is strangely and intensely moving to me. I guess it's just the perverse, yet honest conviction in Jamie Stewart's voice.

General CommentThis is probably one of my most favorite sad songs ever. The chorus makes me want to hold my loved ones close and never let go. I know it's totally out of context, but I can only imagine that this is exactly how one little girl would feel in this situation.

General CommentJust in case it isn't known. This is a remake of a song by Jamie's old Ten In The Swear Jar band.

General Commentok, the lyrics here are VERY wrong. it goes :

you say i am a looker
    because i am a girl
    you say i am stupid
    because i am your girl

leave me out on the steps
dress me up like a boy
say that i am your secret love
say to be quiet, but i wanna tell the whole world

    i like my neighborhood
    i like my gun
    driving my little car
i am your girl and i will protect you

get into the back of my little car
pull up my pants and fix my bra
go on home, go home to your kids
i'm not gonna be quiet and i'm gonna tell the whole block

General CommentAt first, I believe it's about mexican female gang members who have a secret affair, but what the fuck does pedophila have to do with it?
