this is such a great song!!!!!! i think every teenage girl has gone thru this at some stage- theres always all these perfect girls at school who never have anythin wrong with them and they constantly look down on you- even for the ladders in your tights. i think shes tryin to say that its ok to let urself go once in a while and not be perfect all the time. and the duct tape and silverware bit- thats just all the painful revenges you plan on these girls but never carry out

I think this song is very similar to misfit, in that it's about someone who doesn't fit in but she ultimatley feels it's better to be this way and that she will fly higher. There seems to be hints of bullying and social exclusion, followed by fantasies of revenge.

So basiclly this song is talking about holding together when every one else is changing and being mean to you. Ladder in my tights is when you're worn a pair of tights for a long time and it starts to rip. It almost looks like a ladder, and only a few peices are holding it together... so, just a few peices are holding Amy Studt together.

The person who said that this song is similar to "Misfit" is right. It's about bullying like "Misfit" is, but it also talks about plotting revenge on the bullies that bullied her in school. I don't know if she actually carried out the revenge plots that she describes here.
