Unusual that no one has commented on this song. For my media coursework I've decided to turn this song into a music video. When I listen to it, it looks like it's talking about trend-followers and how they are trying their best to be the popular ones with the latest fashion accessories and whatever. He's talking about the way these people are living in the shadows of the popular people; trying to be something they are not. "Awkward in stances won't make you hip" - how they are trying to copy things to make themselves look good but fail miserably because it isn't who they are. "I can tell you have lost your sight" - talks about how they have lost touch with themselves and are a shell of their former selves. "Hop on bandwagons, you make me sick" mentions how these people are quick to get onto what everyone else is doing and follow in their footsteps.

TRANSLATION: ghetto to english: haha i think it is about some mother fucker who lives in the past, just trying to think about what's going on and he isn't going forward in life and his friends are maturing faster. i think this song is about wat basically all billy talent songs are about, being lied to and not fitting in, whether or not by choice. Its a good song all around mostly because it has a lot more going on in melodies and rythems than most punk rock bands right now
I think it's about people trying to be political but not knowing issues particularily well but still trying to fight something.Kind of like Paul McCarteny did with the seal hunt.
