We all need to feel secure
We're so middle class
But I'm still waiting for next week's chemical blast
Don't go feeling insecure, no feeling sad
With an M16 you'll feel the surge of your American past

But are you afraid?
You always said the war would never last
And Lola I'm not afraid
If you star-wipe all your past away
And the sun comes one more day

Lola, Lola, will the world end me and you
Lola, Lola, no I'm never gonna make it through

Can you take me back to that place where stars glow
Comets swarm like fireflies outside your window

But are you afraid?
You always said the war would never last
And Lola I'm not afraid
If you star-wipe all your past away
And the sun comes one more day

Lola, Lola, will the world end me and you
Lola, Lola, no we're never never make it through
Lola Lola Lola Lola

i think its about the increasing amount of uncertainties. be it the rise in issues in current events or just stuff happening in your life. for me, i think its about this guy uncertain of growing up in this crazy world now with this girl who is adding to the uncertainty. ironic, how this song reminds me of my ex and i.
