Bloodwork Lyrics
Here is your broken character,
the one left of heaven.
Scissors cut him from the page, example,
continue to read not to retrace,
the steps, touch me.
The hemorrhaging has ceased, has ceased.
And I swallow these capsules, to regain my grip.
And I swallowed myself sick. And I inherited my health.
Here is your wake and smile,
that you seem to need.
The safe and the touch, and the unweave.
Right where you placed it the night before,
saint checks in to make sure,
you're right where you say that you are.
Right where you are.
They all seem so truthful,
they all seem so true.
They all seem so truthful,
they all seem so true.
Couldn't find a better way,
couldn't find a better way, to lie.
the one left of heaven.
Scissors cut him from the page, example,
continue to read not to retrace,
the steps, touch me.
The hemorrhaging has ceased, has ceased.
And I swallowed myself sick. And I inherited my health.
that you seem to need.
The safe and the touch, and the unweave.
Right where you placed it the night before,
saint checks in to make sure,
you're right where you say that you are.
Right where you are.
they all seem so true.
They all seem so truthful,
they all seem so true.
Couldn't find a better way,
couldn't find a better way, to lie.

here is your broken character (somethings wrong) the one left of heaven (the thing he thought was good.. scissors cut him from the page (he is somehow forgotten?)
ex. continute to read out to retrace , touch me(the person he is for some reason appears insensitive, he wont touch or cant feel (numb, drugs, problems, unknown sickness thats not his fault)
the chorus sounds heavy as he struggles but is enlightened for giving up and singing out to regain his blood. ( i do think he went through something like this or knows someone)
(he swallowed himself sick, either the meds, drugs, didnt help his problem or he has no answer for his action, or sickness...)
(and i inherited my health) his wellbeing is in question , but the stuggle either in himself or to the world... and maybe someone close treats him bad and he cant feel how yet but it too mihg be making him sour..
here is your waking smile (different way of saing previous>?)(finally happier?) that you seem to need (hes now kinda saying how to be gentler than the previous with his problem or relationship.. hes concerned what they need more now''unweave'' he feel hes hellping but it feels together as well but helping them and its not so one sided his numb feeling)
right where you left it the night before, saints check in...right where you say you are... (hes explaing hes feeling better in a angelic way, and feels like his relationships or problem arent so numb,) saints check in to make sure you say that you are... (kinda means he feels he can take care of himself in a way he was meant to feel, the angelic heavenly way. but still realizes in the chorus that the problem was powerful for a long time but he celebrates with teh riffs and singing.
@wild146519 spot on my dude.

This song seems like Brock was in a relationship that was harmful to him, causing him to turn to the bottles. In the end, however, he realizes what she is doing to him, and gives her back all the shit she gave him and leaves.
mmm my lyrics are different.
They all seem so truthful, they all seem so true
He's definitely NOT saying that on my version. He's saying something with pictures. I don't know. He sings weird (but cool)
To me, this song is about the challenges of sobriety.
This song grips me by the throat. It's about alcohol addiction, no doubt, I have seen this with a friend. He drank so much that he bled from his stomac. ("hemorrharging has ceased"). He almost died. He had to take capsules to prevent him from drinking, they made him really sick, when he tried to drink. He knew he had to, to try and stay sober and become healthy again ("regain my grip"). He was so addicted that even with Disulfiram (Antabus or Refusal) he was still drinking, even though it made him so incredibly sick. Terrible. ("Swallowed myself sick") "Saints check in": his buddy from the AA. "And I couldn't have seen, all these pictures of me" "But I needed to (I needed to), and I needed to, I..." "Couldn't find a better way, couldn't find a better way" "To lie..." My friend was also so drunk, so far gone, that he couldn't remember whole days/weeks, and the things he did. But he needed to know, to be able to heal, to see the person he didn't want to be anymore. He was so ashamed that he lied a lot, he hurt a lot of people. It's still a struggle...
I finally got to see these guys live at Donington Park a few days ago. Wow!!!!
This is one of my favorite songs by them.
Another-Loser, unless you have a fake verson, when he's singing strangely towards the end he's DEFINITELY 100% singing "They all seem so truthful, they all seem so true."
I know what Another-loser means, on my version of the album, it sounds like Brock is singing something like:
"And I couldn't have seen all these pictures of me, but I needed to, I need it anyway, Couldn't find a better way, couldn't find a better way, to lie. "
Is there more than one version of the album or something?
Ok, I have just downloaded this song on MP3 and the version I have download has the same lyrics as on here, but it says it is an advanced preview version, so maybe they re-recorded it before it was officially released, which would explain why my version of the album has the lyrics I posted previously.
They had one that had a lot of screaming but then changed the screaming that would normally be "They all seem so truthful, They all seem so true" to the sung lyrics mentioned above. Thats the difference.

Yeah, sometimes there's disparity between the versions shipped to the US/EU/Australia/Asia. The same thing happened with Glassjaw's EYEWTKAS. And on some roadrunner releases, the order of the tracks gets switched. So it's no big deal, great song either way. I lIke the juxtaposition in the chorus, it helps convey how warped the situation is (in the song, not Roadrunner's distribution patterns)
