Peter was an exceptional lyricist. This song is a prime example of his brilliance in this regard. This song's lyrics rank as my favorite along with Joni Mitchell's Song For Sharon ;)
This song is great... so true... and really hits me hard. Pretty much sums up my whole outlook on life after being cheated on by the one person who made me smile... and who I trusted.

I totally agree with you on this Inviltrist, nothing like when the person who you would give all youve got stabs you through the face, and Type O Negative is definitely one of the greatest bands to grace the face of this earth. The line in this song " Are a thousand tears worth a single smile?" is absolutely amazing, because you can talk and talk and talk and try to get this person to see what your getting at, but in the end your just getting more and more frustrated while once in a while you get a smile, which i guess doesnt allow for the feeling inside of you to go away either. I LOVE THIS SONG.
WOW this song is freakin' awesome. Every time I hear this I remember this girl who crushed me when I was younger. I can relate to the words and feelings in this song. It also brightens my day when I have a bad day. Good stuff.
this is currently my most played song, considering it portrays what im feeling currently right now. really well. type o always hits the nail on the head on this subject, its what theyre best at. compleatly underrated. you can feel his agony when he yells "i dont feel anything"
Its all about giving up on love... And we've all felt it and can relate to it. At the end when Peter screams, I don't feel anything... You just have to scream with him... One of the best Type O Negative songs EVER.
