im not too sure what this song means but when he says "this time is ur last time........" im thinking . you only get one chance to live ur life, dont give up on things, try to make them better for yourself

i love the guitar in this song, all of the music comes together so beautifully. but yeah this seems to be about someone who is shy or uncertain or has a bad self esteem and [the singer] is trying to motivate them and push them to just make the leap.

I agree with not_blonde. Actually, this song reminds me of a friend who just can't own up to her mistakes. It confuses me though, the lyrics.

I can't tell if that's sarcasm (the point of view of the person he's singing about) or truth. I'd go with sarcasm though. They can't accept that it's their own fault, whatever bad is happening. It seems like he's saying this is their chance to either own up, or forget it.

It's completely sattirical to human nature. S/he's blaming everyone else for their mistakes, and they're saying that s/he can just leave before anyone else notices, even though everyone but the person in mention knows all about what's really going down. He has the attention he wants, so here's his chance to make the big scene in front of everyone that he's been making behind the scenes all along. No one is gonna take it anymore, this time is the last time. They WANT to lose him, and no one knows why he's there in the first place.
What i got out of this song is that somebody made mistakes in the past and they have lots of regret and its holding them back from living the rest of their lives and the song was saying that you can't live in the past regretting what you've done and this is your chance to move on.

I agree with HeartlessNew ^^ About forgetting the past, and moving on. Forgetting all your old mistakes, just learn from them..That train of thought. And yes a very awesome song.
I just wanted everyone to know that there is a wave remix of this song and if you thought you liked this song then.....Its just ten times better now (if you like thumping beats and pseudo-80's keyboards). No seriously...the remix is great and the acoustic guitar is a wonderful feature on the new song.
