I agree with not_blonde. Actually, this song reminds me of a friend who just can't own up to her mistakes. It confuses me though, the lyrics.

I can't tell if that's sarcasm (the point of view of the person he's singing about) or truth. I'd go with sarcasm though. They can't accept that it's their own fault, whatever bad is happening. It seems like he's saying this is their chance to either own up, or forget it.
