Show Me Love Lyrics

This was an accident
Not the kind where sirens sound
Never even noticed we're suddenly crumbling
Tell me how you've never felt delicate or innocent
Do you still have doubts that us having faith makes any sense?

Tell me nothing ever counts
Lashing out or breaking down
Still somebody loses cause there's no way to turn around
Staring at your photograph, everything now in the past
Never felt so lonely, I wish that you could show me love.

Show me love, show me love, show me love, show me love
Show me love, 'til you open the door
Show me love, show me love, show me love, show me love
Show me love, 'til I'm up off the floor
Show me love, show me love, show me love, show me love
Show me love, 'til it's inside my pores
Show me love, show me love, show me love, show me love
Show me love, 'til I'm screaming for more

Random acts of mindlessness
Commonplace occurrences
Chances of surprises, another state of consciousness'
Tell me nothing ever counts
Lashing out or breaking down
Still somebody loses cause there's no way to turn around

Tell me how you've never felt delicate or innocent
Do you still have doubts that us having faith makes any sense?
You play games and play tricks
Girls and girls but you're the one
Like a game of pick up sticks
Played by fucking lunatics

Show me love, show me love, show me love, show me love
Show me love, 'til you open the door
Show me love, show me love, show me love, show me love
Show me love, 'til I'm up off the floor
Show me love, show me love, show me love, show me love
Show me love, 'til it's inside my pores
Show me love, show me love, show me love, show me love
Show me love, 'til I'm screaming for more

Show me love, show me love, give me all that I want
Show me love, show me love, give me all that I want
Show me love, show me love, give me all that I want
Show me love, show me love, 'til I'm screaming for more

I'd like to play that particular game of pick-up sticks, personally.

I really think there's a connection between Ya Tvaya Ne pervaya (russian version) and this one. I've heard them thousands of times and Show me love, for me, is about infidelity. "This was an accident..." is cheating with another girl, the telephone conversation, one girl talks about the wind, and the other replies she doesn't care, and so...until we find out it's a recording answering the questions. So, she cheated on her girlfriend. The image appeared quite clear to me: "never even noticed we're suddenly crumbling". She is staring at their photograph, but the other girl wont't forgive her. So she begs for some love...

“Tell me nothing ever counts, lashing out or breaking down; still somebody loses, ’cause there’s no way to turn around.”

Statements like that ruin even the most beautiful love songs for me, because they miss the whole point of what love is about, which is unity. Being as close as we can– even until there are no barriers between us–and sharing every experience. Everything counts, for better or worse, everything is derivative from and/or can be conducive to our love.

Breaking down can enable or accelerate healing, and help us understand each other much better. Nobody “loses”, and there’s no reason to turn around; we can rebuild and move forward together, even stronger than we could have alone. Even lashing out can have the same benefits, though it’s always best to consistently work together rather than against each other.

Being able and willing to share our most vulnerable and even humbling moments is essential to any loving relationship; from friendship, to marriage, to civilization. It’s only a “loss” if you let your ego win. It only “never counts” if you never gain anything valuable from it. Just growing closer together is an inevitable win for everyone, and makes all of the pain worth it.

I used to have this but i deleted it buecause the sexualness of the lyrics freaked me out at the time. Now i've seen this and remembered it, I might try and find it again. I really like the lyrics to the second verse. Plus it's a cool tune.
