I skipped over this song at first, but it's really grown on me. As for meaning, to me it's about trying and trying, but eventually giving up because it seems so fruitless. My favorite lines:

'autographs and apologies' is the mcs song which really gets me. i don't know why, but every time i listen to it it sends a chill down my spine. i'm not too sure about the specific meaning of the song, but it seems to be sombre reflection as well as a feeling of helplessness about his destiny. just my opinion though

awesome song. not too sure what is about but the motor metaphor seems like a constant everyday struggle to make something of yourself but in the end you always seems to fail at something.
Idk I think the whole stanza is a reference to People who focus in on simply living a day to day and forget to realy live. "Busy hands" Being someone who keeps busy, Swallowing being a reference to Acceptance. "Busy hands keep swimming the dont like swallowing"- Busy people dont like being told their wrong and like to keep "Swimming"

i love this song.. ive jsut gotten into them & id otn know the lead singer's first name. but his voice is greatt. & this is one of my favorites of there's ..
