Slight ammendment to the lyrics...

The first vese actually goes:

"Swept away by the wonder of it all So amazed - never saw it coming Left me dazed and I don't know where to turn"

An astonishingly underated band and a spine-tinglingly beautiful song.

i like to look for a romantic meaning to all songs but i do think i'd be correct here. i think it's about a strong love where someone has never been loved before. they always thought they had been but it was toxic and they never realised until they met this person. they feel vulnerable, happy and understood but in a way that makes them fear it all. i think this is a person trying to express how they feel for the first time but still wary of being hurt again.

'seems to me, i'm exactly where i dreamed i would be' says the most to me. i think it's signifying that it was always something they wanted but in their head would never happen to them for whatever reason makes them insecure.

similarly, 'never saw it coming' 'i don't know where to turn' represents how they never believed this kind of experience to actually exist and now they want to talk to someone else about it but don't trust anyone but the person they are singing about. being in love can feel very alone to someone holding deep trauma and i think this is what the writer is experiencing.

I love how the breathing on the end of this song ties into the start of Just For A Moment.

I think this one is about knowing if you can depend on someone or something. In the above case, Matt could be talking about the band - if they will succeed and continute being huge, or dissapear into nothing as so many bands do. The whole album is really about love, and this is no different.

So true...how does Aqualung stay so underated? It's amazing music.

I love the calm confusion of his voice.

This song is really great for ANYONE to relate to-- it's hard to trust many people, etc. in this world. In one word, though, I describe this song as Dreamy. He just sounds like he's in the middle of a slowmo daydream.

beautiful song, possibly my favorite by them.

i feel this song is about suicide/falling in love with some one. the uncertainy of falling and love.. or jumping of the edge of the cliff. if i fall will you catch me?

just some sort of way of saving him from his self. falling in love or falling of the cliff..

thats just me. i love this song especially right now in my life.
