"Good Times Gonna Come" as written by and Matthew Nicholas Hales....
Need to know
If you're letting go
It's alright,alright, it's alright
Didn't know
I was hurting you so
It's alright, alright, it's alright.

You came to me from nowhere
With nothing
And no-one
Hold tight, hold tight, hold tight
Goes to show
You never really know
It's alright, it's alright, it's alright

This is just one of those
Lonely night
The good times gonna come

See me then
Investing so much
In you, in you, in you
Came so close
To the edge
I do, I do, I do

This is just one of those
Lonely night
The good times gonna come

In the end
We let it go away
We let it float away
On the breeze

'Round the bend
The sun is in the sky
It's starting to look like
It's gonna be, yeah, it's gonna be
A bright
Beautiful day
Yeah, the good times gonna come, oh no
The good times gonna come, yeah, yeah,

This is just one of those
Lonely night
The good times gonna come, oh,
The good times gonna come, oh yeah
The good times gonna come, oh
The good times gonna come, yeah.
Need to know if you're letting go
It's alright, it's alright, it's alright

General Comment"I wrote this about a year ago, reflecting on a shitty time in my life and wishing I could have known it was going to work out ok in the end.

It was originally a strange piano waltz, but mutated into a strange guitar waltz.

I was particularly pleased with the sound of the riff at the beginning which was made by blu-tacking paper clips to the piano hammers." - Matt Hales

General CommentWow, lol. Where do you get these quotes?? I do love the strange music in the background...they're always a little different than what you'd normally expect... Especially the high parts on the piano, they sound so haunting, almost sarcastic.

General CommentI can't believe this song doesn't have more comments!
I think it's such a powerful song especially when the chorus kicks in. It means so much to me because I know the good times ARE going to come :)

General CommentThis song is awesome! Yeah, I heard it on Skins too. Awesome show, that!

Is this song meant to be sad or happy? I'm confused! It's like parts of the lyrics are hopeful and stuff, yet the sound is sad, and slightly depressing (in a good way).

General CommentI think it's supposed to show that maybe times are bad now but of course, the good times will come!!! Such a song for hope

General CommentI love how this song is supposed to be building you up and telling you that it'll all be alright but the music is utterly depressing and obscure sounding. It makes it so much more real.

General CommentFirst off, Skins is an amazing show. So hooked.
Seconldy, this song... it's great. It has a lot of emotion, and it has a pretty basic meaning to it.
