this song is so pretty.

i guess all it's saying is he is just wanting the girl to be gentle with him. He doesn't want her to hurt him, physically and mentally?

it just makes me think of a guy in my life right now, and it's just sweet to think about him thinking this about me. "Be gentle with me please" Just admitting that he's a man, but it doesn't matter, you have to be gentle with me.

Yeah I think he's been broken hearted before and really just wants to take it slow and spare himself heart ache again.. he wants to do things right and be delicate with it.
