Then You Look At Me Lyrics
Laugh and cry
Live and die
Life is a dream we are dreaming
Day by day I find my way
Look for the soul and the meaning
Then you look at me and I always see
What I have been searching for
I'm lost as can be
Then you look at me
and I am not lost anymore
People run sun to sun
caught in their lives every flowing
Once begun life goes till it's gone
We have to go where it's going
Then you look at me and I always see
What I have been searching for
I'm lost as can be
Then you look at me
and I am not lost anymore
And you say you see when you look at me
the reason you love life so
Though lost I have been I find love again
And life just keeps on running
And life just keeps on running
You look at me and life comes from you
From you
Live and die
Life is a dream we are dreaming
Day by day I find my way
Look for the soul and the meaning
What I have been searching for
I'm lost as can be
Then you look at me
and I am not lost anymore
caught in their lives every flowing
Once begun life goes till it's gone
We have to go where it's going
What I have been searching for
I'm lost as can be
Then you look at me
and I am not lost anymore
the reason you love life so
Though lost I have been I find love again
And life just keeps on running
And life just keeps on running
You look at me and life comes from you
From you

Aww, I've been hearing this song for like all my life(or most of it), since my family listened to Celine Dion. I'm surprised this didn't get more comments. I finally saw Bicentennial Man today and it's so sad, but beautiful. To me, the song is about searching in life for meaning, and living life, however long, to the fullest. And that one person reassures you and you stop looking. In the movie, Andrew, the robot, goes and looks for other robots of his kind to find out his destiny, only to fall in love with Little Miss's granddaughter. It seems pretty straightforward.
yea. i thought more people would put comments saying they like/love this song. but the song is pretty straightforward. so maybe that's one reason not a lot of people would put their meaning of this song

I'm also surprised by the lack of comments, articles, etc about this song. Maybe because it was tied to the Bicentennial Man movie it was brushed off as just a movie song.
I've always really loved this song for reasons I can't really explain. (other than just being a hopeless romantic) And every time I get it stuck in my head, it stays there for days.
I've always considered this song as being sung from Andrew's point of view. And it goes back to the conversation he has with Portia when she says that she's not always going to take his DNA elixers or have all her body parts replaced. And he says that there's just one problem: He can't imagine life without her.
Here's a machine that could live forever & was searching worldwide for a place to belong (or more specifically for his heart to belong) And it wasn't until after that search that he finally found that place in Portia & their love relationship. And how he only really came alive after he fell in love with her.
This song is beautiful! I love it so much. It is about living and taking each day as it comes and not realy having much control on what your life may bring. That is the way I had been feeling at one stage and then there is this wonderful person who comes into your life and then they look at you anc you feel loved and you can sense the care and feelings they have for you. Those looks really make your day. :-) This song always makes me feel sad though coz once that look goes, it tears you to shreds and this song makes me think about how good I did feel.
every time i listen to this, it really makes me cry :(

this song is so sweet!!!!
This song really deserves more comments. In my opinion, it's Celine's best, and most underrated song. It's so beautiful and makes me smile every time I listen to it!! I first heard it on So You Think You Can Dance on a wonderful routine choreographed by Mia Michaels. I've been obsessed with it ever since!!
love this song :)
This song is about finding the meaning of life through love. Could it be any more beautiful? Not to mention Dion's voice was incredibly graceful and powerful!
The only reason this amazing song is underrated is because is not known. Had the Bicentennial Man not become a flop, this song would've been released as a single and topped the charts.
