Because You Loved Me Lyrics
(Diane Warren)
For all the truth that you made me see
For all the joy you brought to my life
For all the wrong that you made right
For every dream you made come true
For all the love I found in you
I'll be forever thankful baby
You're the one who held me up
Never let me fall
You're the one who saw me through through it all
You were my voice when I couldn't speak
You were my eyes when I couldn't see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn't reach
You gave me faith 'coz you believed
I'm everything I am
Because you loved me
You touched my hand I could touch the sky
I lost my faith, you gave it back to me
You said no star was out of reach
You stood by me and I stood tall
I had your love I had it all
I'm grateful for each day you gave me
Maybe I don't know that much
But I know this much is true
I was blessed because I was loved by you
You were my voice when I couldn't speak
You were my eyes when I couldn't see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn't reach
You gave me faith 'coz you believed
I'm everything I am
Because you loved me
The tender wind that carried me
A light in the dark shining your love into my life
You've been my inspiration
Through the lies you were the truth
My world is a better place because of you
You were my voice when I couldn't speak
You were my eyes when I couldn't see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn't reach
You gave me faith 'coz you believed
I'm everything I am
Because you loved me
Because you loved me

I watched Oprah today, and it was on people getting into careers that they have a passion for, and they actually had the lady who wrote this song on there. She was persuaded as child to just give up on writing songs and trying to get them heard by her mother, but with the encouragement of her father she did it, and now she has wrote over 90 top ten hits, and is the most successful female song writer of all time. She wrote this song about her father..for always believing in her.

I am using this song to dance with my dad at my wedding...I think of it as a song to someone who really helped you grow because of their love.

This song is to my dad I love you! I truly believe hem made me the person i am now

i could sing this to my best mate he has helped me more than anyone could ever asked he sacrifised so much for me and has made my dreams come true he is there 24/7 even if its just in spirit he never lets me get sad or gives up on me and he will be there to the end.so i luv ya daz.

This song makes me think of how my parents has always loved me and brought me up well, it also makes me think of God (sorry to be religious here). This song also makes me think of the movie "What a Girl Wants" when she sees the bride dancing with her father.

This song means a lot to me and it's one of my favorites besides rock.It means a lot since I thought I fell in love with the wrong person, and one year later this person said he loved me so much, so it really means a lot.

OMG, this song is so sweet. Okay, shut up, I actually do like SOME Celine Dion...not the Titanic song though(gags) but this is a good song. I mean, it's sweet....it's talking about how one person changed another's life. You know, like love. She was cold and broken until he came along and gave her a whole new outlook, love does that ya know. I mean it's ultimate love, dude

i wish i had a man that would do that for me. this is like the dream that any and every girl or woman would want.
@jadedteen911 It truly is. And blessed are those that find that man. :) I’m very grateful.

I think this song means a girl found a guy and she really loved him and he changed her life in so many ways but some where along the way he left but she will never forget what he had showed her and she wanted to tell the world how much one person could change ur life

It was part of the movie "Up Close and Personal"'s soundtrack.... and in the movie the main character loses her husband, the man that had made her into what she became. I think the movie pretty much sums up the meaning to the song.. and it's not that bad of a movie, ,a little slow at points but that happens. Great song to be using as a Father-Daughter dance at wedding raerae :-)
