Deep Peace Lyrics
It's alright to cry
It's alright to lean on anyone
It's alright to lie in the bed you've made for everyone
If you ever need someone,
If you ever heed someone
If you ever need me babe, I will be there.
It's alright to die
It's alright to bleed on everyone
It's alright this time
It's all life, you learn from everyone
With every single time you go
...And every single line you blow
Anytime you need me man, I won't be there
(inside the picture of the huge, sterile balck and white diner on a rainy Sunday afternoon in chinatown)
It's all going away now
...All going away now
Going, going...gone
Going, going...gone
It's alright to cry
It's alright to feed on everyone
It's alright to hide,
In your cozy bed from everyone
So anytime you need it man,
Get inside and be it man...
Anytime you call,
Suffer!!!
It's alright to lean on anyone
It's alright to lie in the bed you've made for everyone
If you ever heed someone
If you ever need me babe, I will be there.
It's alright to bleed on everyone
It's alright this time
It's all life, you learn from everyone
...And every single line you blow
Anytime you need me man, I won't be there
...All going away now
Going, going...gone
Going, going...gone
It's alright to feed on everyone
It's alright to hide,
In your cozy bed from everyone
Get inside and be it man...
Anytime you call,
Suffer!!!

alas, the song that saved me.
believe it or not, i used to skip through the whole solo just to focus on his lyrics....
but later on i found the beauty in the solo, too.
on the Safe Zone dvd, its really breathtaking when you see the drummer (of DTB) Ryan VP, who is tapping away on the cymbals, matching the solo note-for-note. Really impressive.
Beautiful song with an INCREDIBLY melodic solo.
This song is so peaceful, and beautiful. Devin sure can make kick ass music!
I love how the song like does a complete 180. Devin is GOD!
I love the guitar solo in this song.
I love too the guitar solo. This song is very beautiful. Just wow.
Devin can take you on a ride and some buds will take you on a journey through his genius. His guitar solo is incredible, but it's not just the solo. The foundation behind the solo is so thick and deep with perfect waves of delay and verb that just suck you into the black hole. You fall in and ride around in Dev's imagination and then he takes you back out into the verse and chorus for a bit, before going in a really odd direction. Sometimes it's not about exactly what he says, but how he says it and stretches out particular words for emphasis or maybe just to fit the song. Either way, there's genius at work. The dude is a mad scientist in the studio. I've seen this live stuff and it's great! The biggest bummer was the release of Ocean Machine from beginning to end being mixed so horribily that it was almost unlistenable on the concert Blu-Ray I obtained. I don't know if that ever got sorted or not. But anyhow... Dev rocks.
