I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.
I will never bother you
I will never promise to
I will never follow you
I will never bother you
Never say a word again
I will crawl away for good
I will move away from here
You won't be afraid of fear
No thought was put into this
I always knew it would come to this
Things have never been so swell
And I have never failed to fail
Pain
Pain
Pain
You know you're right
You know you're right
You know you're right
It's so warm and calm inside
I no longer have to hide
There's talk about someone else
Sterling silver begins to melt
Nothin' really bothers her
She just wants to love herself
I will move away from here
You won't be afraid of fear
No thought was put into this
I always knew it'd come to this
Things have never been so swell
And I have never failed to fail
Pain

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988.
"'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it."
"There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Yo La Tengo
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version.
Great version of a great song,

“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.
Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
Courtny Love had Kurt killed. Fucken bitch, someone should put a shotgun in her mouth and pull the trigger. There was a sloppy investigation, I personally think she paid the cops to keep quiet. It was just left that Kurt commited suicide. Which if I remember correctly, Kurt supposedly shot up before he "committed suicide." The amoung of heroin that was found in his system was so great, that he would have died almost instantly he couldn't have shot himself! Thats only one thing. Go to cobaincase.com for more. As for this song, it rocks. I heard it on the radio and had this weird creepy feeling. Almost like Kurt was singing from the grave. I think he wrote this song to Courtny. How much he hated being married to her.
I feel dumb replying to this post as it's nearly 8 years old, however I feel obliged. Personally, I don't have an opinion on the matter as I don't believe any of us will ever really know what truely happened with Kurt.<br /> <br /> Now On to my POINT!!! Scandor, You stated "Kurt supposedly shot up before he "committed suicide." The amoung of heroin that was found in his system was so great, that he would have died almost instantly he couldn't have shot himself!"<br /> <br /> What you are not and nobody else is taking into account is his tolerance. There is no way to quantify someones tolerance to the drug once they are dead. Kurt was a daily heroin user (As I am myself, this knoweledge is from personal experience and I can back it up with sources via pubmed and other medical journals if anyone requests)<br /> <br /> When you do a drug, your body begins to tolerate it. You have to use larger doses to get the same effect. Being a daily heroin user myself, I can shoot myself up with an amount that would drop you dead instantly, and it won't even phase me, it will just make me feel normal, not even high. I can probably shoot myself up with 10x the amount (The L.D. 50, The lethal dose for 50% of intolerant people) that it would take to kill you.<br /> <br />
hmm, good point, i always considered that as a very faint possibility, of tolerance, but i was under the impression that even with tolerance there is a point where regardless, that amount of the drug is just way too much for anyone to handle, but i guess after relistening to nirvana and being a little older and not so eager to think "oh man kurt got murdered", your ideas are pretty realistic, and unprovable really, as measuring the tolerance of a dead man is as far as i know impossible, so i guess that fact isnt so strong as evidence, although there aare a few funky details in the case that are a bit unresolved i think but idk at this point i dont think if he did get killed, it will never be proven and is quickly being relegated to one of the ridiculous conspiracy theories status haah
Regarding "junkhead393": Kurt Cobain shot up three times the LD 50 is it likely that he would be still able to shoot himself?<br /> I personally believe that he killed himself... he faced divorce, loss of interest (depression), was in constant pain in his stomach and on top of it all he was bipolar. However there are strange things about his death that make you wonder. cobaincase.com has some interesting points... like how his note sounds like a letter announcing him leaving Courtney until you read the "questionable" handwriting at the bottom.
