Boys In The Band Lyrics
you're walking like you never seen the light
you're walking like it every night
but i've never seen you dance and i've never heard you sing
so how can it mean a single thing
it's all so rudimentary
you're talking like your handy in a fight
you talk about it every night
but i've never seen your flowers in the barrel of a gun
all i've ever seen you do is run
not a rude boy you're the gentry
so tell me baby how does it feel
i know you like the roll of the limousine wheel
and they all get them out for (they all get them out)
the boys in the band (only for the boys in the band)
they scream and they shout for (twist and scream and shout)
for the boys in the band (only for the boys in the band)
you're walking like you never seen the light
you're walking like it every night
but i never heard you laugh and I never seen you cry
one of those things that darling you must try
it's all so rudimentary
now i'm jealous, i'm jealous of my own
i've no homestead but through these hearts i will roam, yeah
and they all get them out for (they all get them out)
the boys in the band (only for the boys in the band)
yes, they all roll them out for (twist and scream and shout)
the boys in the band (only for the boys in the band)
well tell me baby how does it feel
i know you like the roll of the limousine wheel, yeah
and they all get them out for (they all get them out)
the boys in the band (only for the boys in the band)
they scream and they shout for (twist and scream and shout)

In The Libertines book 'Bound Together' It says something like 'They All Get Them Out For' reffers to people metaphorically rolling out the red carpet and buying them drinks 'cause there in a band. Meh..I dont know. Either way. Amazing song.
That makes sense, although I am sure they were quite pleased with the double meaning. I don't think it's just about groupies, but they do come with the territory, and I imagine quite a lot of them get their tits out.

it's all so rudimentary - its all so underdeveloped, thinking you can cling onto some one to be happy. also ''they all get them out'' i should imagine means they all get their tits out...
This song's about Carl being a woman.
Everyone loves the boys in the band.
about groupies
I guess they wrote this about their obsessed groupies, how they worship them and the kind of attention they get for being the boys in the band.
When they say 'they all get them out' at first I thought they were talking about breasts. But when you look more into it, it could also mean 'hey the boys are in town break out the party favors get them some beers'
I love this song
i heard that this song was written about the queens of noise
Yes I heard that too, it would make perfect sense if it was bout the QON...it's definitely about tits rather than beer.
