Juno Lyrics
Tied to the testing of wills, and my heart breaks and spills
Left to the sight of the sky, in your arms I'm defined
Thrown to the wolves in the minds of your enemies
And I'm stone in the eyes of your foolishness
If this is what I'm meant for , no longer interesting
Fall forward just to even the score
Just a thought to you
And I'm nothing more than a line in your book
Left to the sight of the sky, in your arms I'm defined
Thrown to the wolves in the minds of your enemies
And I'm stone in the eyes of your foolishness
Fall forward just to even the score
Just a thought to you

this song is about this guy who loved this girl and people who disliked her said the guy was 'throwing himself to the wolves' and eventually the relationship ended because he was weak and succumbed to the pressure of his friends even though he really loved her. now she hates him becuase he hurt her so much and she is moving on and he hates himself for letting her go. he believes she's gone forever and the only way she might ever think of him again is if she happened to read her diary back to the period of the relationship. something like "he broke up with me today i hate him" <---- (line in her book) keep it real
hmm i think u guys were pretty close, with the whole idea that this guy is completly obsessed with a girl, and his friends dont like her. howeve,r i dont think he ever had a relationship with her. i think the "yet im nothing more, than a line in your book" is like im just nothing but a speck in your life. so basically hes obsessed with her yet she doesnt really notice him
The whole 'line in your book' struck me as either she's writing her memoirs or something and even though he was a big part of her life she only refers to him in a line, OR some people class our lives as books and different eras as chapters, and he's only a small part of her book (life).
I read an interview with the lead singer saying that this song was about a girl who cheated on him and he was so angry at her he just wanted to hurt her really badly, and its called Juno because that is the capital of some country (alaska maybe, I've forgotten) and he felt it symbolised somewhere cold and harsh, like the state of mind he was in after he got hurt by her.
@glassinthetrees Yes, it's the capital of Alaska, Juneau.
