I don't think so, he was born in Seattle in 1968, but maybe 1962 just rhymes better. Maybe it's just the surname or something?

I've always thought this song was about his (Tims') dad, Tims' feelings of becoming like his father in ways he does and doesn't like, and (at least one of) the interesting things our parents say to us or we hear them say in passing. but i'm prolly just going back to '95 & plucking that pretense string CnJ are so famous for...
