stop freaking out about telling people that the band writes the lyrics that way on purpose...the point is that someone should actually put the real lyrics here instead of copying them out of the booklet, so people could tell what they really say in the song.
I think RivalSchools dude is right. And picture in words chick, maybe some of us aren't as talented as you and are just able to understand two, sometimes three people singing in really fast, mumbly voices, along with guitars and drums.
does anyone else here think this band is incredible? i heard them and i thought they were alright at first, then i saw them live. amazing performance, you wanted to cry it was just so brilliant. a lot of people aren't seeming to like tbs, but i think they are the next great thing in the underground scene, i really hope they stay somewhat local to the scene before MTV gets a hold of them and they become washed up nothings. they deserve greatness
This song is definitely all about drugs and being in love(addicted) with drugs at one time. For the people that think this is about a girl, it is NOT! He is talking to the drug like it is a girl(probably marijuana, coke, or heroin) and he and his friends are going through a relationship with it. From a young age we as people are told drugs are bad; but when you try them the first time, they can be fun. but after a while you get sick and tired of it. some of your friends give up drugs some don't.
Everybody seems to be having problems with the last paragraph of the song.(smoked out in the van, holding on and on and on.)- it's about before you do something when you are an addict you usually get a fix before you do it. no matter what it is. and the reply from an addict is "hold on" (meaning wait a second) so he can take a hit. friends that are addicts tend to get left behind. this guy got left behind in the van.

if you've ever read the lyrics as they appear in the insert, they're like poetry
yeha the lyrics in the cd jacket are alot different then what they sing. It seems really organized and such in the insert but they sing it all over the place. Its like the new jimmy eat world cd some of the lyrics are wrong there too. BUt who cares! this song is amazing! i think this wouold be my favorite off the cd.
Hey people, read this since i'm tired of seeing everyone saying it over and over: ADAM AND THE BAND DON'T WRITE OUT THE LYRICS IN ORDER. They havent, they don't, they won't. If you actually bought the CD, you could see that.
i think you all should learn the words yourself, and type them up yourself and stop your bitching! :) have a spiffy night.
