i think that this song is just saying that he wants to be something bigger than what he is... but can never actually accomplish this. really, it is just a really fun song, and i think motion city soundtrack rocks

first MCS soung i ever heard. i downloaded it cuz they were one of the bands to watch for 2004 in AP. i was hooked after this song. MCS is so fun, they make me happy. my fav line is this song is for sure is the one about the monster...made me laugh out loud when i heard it the first time. great song about wanting to be a hero and striving for it

I think this song is about a superhero with a alcohol problem. He got drunk during a time in which his superhero powers where needed by the people of the city. Maybe he sees alcohol as his kryptonite.
i think people read way too much into these, and all of their lyrics. mcs has the kind of lyrics that, if they do have any kind of deep meaning, it's nothing that could be figured out just from hearing the song. it's just fun.
i completely agree. mcs lyrics are pretty easy to figure out, with little or no analysis. straight-forward, and they say what they mean, mean what they say.
