A-OK Lyrics
This time I thought I'd listen
And the story goes I am the same
Without medicine
I can't pretend
It never ends
"I'm fine, I'm fine"
These words are all I've got to hide behind
So get behind me
You have no right to say
I shut my mouth
And walk away from the memory game
So don't forget, don't forget
I am the reason!
Long-lasting, this obsession
From sleepless Mays to Denver cold
Somewhere in-between
I threw myself away
Someday you'll understand that everything is A-OK
(It's funny when you say) you're A-OK
And the story goes I am the same
Without medicine
I can't pretend
It never ends
These words are all I've got to hide behind
So get behind me
You have no right to say
And walk away from the memory game
So don't forget, don't forget
I am the reason!
From sleepless Mays to Denver cold
Somewhere in-between
I threw myself away

to me it seems to be about someone with a seriuos problem (probalby drug abuse judging by the line "without medicine i can't pretend") that is very close to a member of the band.most of the song seems to be from the perspective of the band member recounting what his friend says to him, that everything is "A-OK."
This song totally rocks!! Definately one of MCS's best!!
Man! this song is so awesome. I'm completely blown away by MCS and their musical greatness. Kudos to MCS.
I really wonder what A O K means..
the song? yeah, i'm kinda lost too bulma182
This song has that bitter, end-of-summer feel to it and every time I hear it it just hits me in the gut. Especially that part where he sings "I am the reason".
At least, that's how it is for me.
this song turns me on..... sexually
When i first heard this song it jumped out at me especially with the lyric "Without medicine i can't pretend, it never ends." I have experience with many friends the up and downs, and downright negative effects of anti-depressants. I think this is what MCS is trying to grasp from this song. It always easier to say you're fine without admitting any underlying problems. Keeping up appearances to the happy smiley world is always the hardest thing to do.
Last time I saw them, Justin said he wrote this song for his dad.
I think this song is about someone who has problems or maybe isn't as confident, as he wants people to think he is. So he says everything is A-Ok, but really his world is crumbling. And he talks big, but thats all it is :: talk.
