Mary Without Sound Lyrics
mary go round
i’d like to see you when the summer sun sets down
straight from the pages into memories that hang around
i can’t believe that there is nowhere you can go and not be found without sound
from the pages
of the morning
when you mentioned
you’re worth less to me
hand over hand
the pages turn
the pages without sound
turn on empty hands
tonight will end without sound
mary go round
hold back the hand me downs and bring back the bright sound
head for the razor broken bottle hangman runarounds
time for the message to return with the sender unsigned and without sound
it’s a battle you can’t win
it’s a battle you lose
i’d like to see you when the summer sun sets down
straight from the pages into memories that hang around
i can’t believe that there is nowhere you can go and not be found without sound
of the morning
when you mentioned
you’re worth less to me
the pages turn
the pages without sound
turn on empty hands
tonight will end without sound
hold back the hand me downs and bring back the bright sound
head for the razor broken bottle hangman runarounds
time for the message to return with the sender unsigned and without sound
it’s a battle you lose

I think this song is about suicide. Mary is me. She felt like life is a series of protocol, manners, and responsibilities, hence, "hand over hand, the pages turned, the pages without sound". She got by life doing everything she 'had' to do to get by. She can go anywhere she wants and "not be found, without sound." Just a shadow in a crowded room. She felt like she left no lasting impression and didn't strive to do so, however the beauty is that this song exists, and this song moves us in some way or another. Mary obviously left an impression on Justin Pierre. So in some way she has made impression on everyone who knows this song. I hope she finds the light at the end of the tunnel that speaks to her, "everything will be alright in the end." I haven't yet, and right now I'm okay with that, but the reason I'm still here is because I've learned to find my own happiness in life.
such a good song.
i am guessing this song is about arguing. basically, he says that wherever she goes, she fights and its over between them.
this song isnt that touching to me like the other ones by motion city soundtrack
this song is so effin' awesome. although the lyrics may not be as well written as some of the other songs (all a matter of opinion, don't hate.) i think the music of it sounds great.. <3.
I love these lyrics soo much. i have a funny story about the song actually- I was going out with this guy that I opened up to very easily..I tend to trust people until they proove to me that I can't trust them. We hate eachother's music... he hated my favorite band and visa versa. This was the only song we both could agree to listen to together. We lasted a month.
This song has so many great ups and dows, stops, steady beats. I love how it all just crashes in the end.
i see it as a suicide song, mary commits suicide. depressing actually...
'straight from the pages into memories that hang around' genious. i'd never thought of it as a suicide song before, but looking at it again it does fit 'head for the razor broken bottle hangman runarounds'.
i THINK its about a summer fling and she like goes away and he cant stop thinking about her....im not 100% on that tho....it could def b about suicide tho....or a combo of the two.....
