There was a terrible storm
And you were wearing all our coats
In the back of this car
I feel like I have traveled nowhere

We buried in the snow
I kept warm inside of your clothes
You swore that nothing would ever change
The way we were right then

It was a colder a night
Bought a hotel I
I thought you would never
Find another

Love again
Oh but you haven't missed a thing
No you haven't missed a thing
No you haven't missed a thing

No you haven't missed a thing
There was a terrible storm
And you were wearing all our coats
In the back of this car

I feel like I have traveled nowhere
We buried in the snow
I kept warm inside of your clothes
You swore that nothing would ever change

The way we were right then
It was a colder night
Bought a hotel I
I thought you would never

Find another
Love again
Oh but you haven't missed a thing
No you haven't missed a thing

No you haven't missed a thing
No you haven't missed a thing

General Commenti go through phases of cds and songs by this band, but i think this will always be one of my favorite songs they have ever done. sara has a great talent for writing very simple songs that dont have many chords and lyrics but are so good that it wouldnt work any other way.

General CommentThis is one of the few songs that can move me to tears every time I hear it.

My interpration: The singer (Sara, I presume) is remembering a past relationship with someone whom she felt secure with even in the worst of times (symbolized by keeping warm in their clothes during this terrible storm), and she thought this person would always be only hers ("you swore that nothing would ever change the way we were right then"). Only to be hurt and disappointed when said person found someone else.

    What do you all think?

and you were wearing all our coats

so much bad things were happening, in a relationship, most likely. and she had nothing to protect herself in the end. but she goes back to how it was

    we buried in the snow
I kept warm inside of your clothes

but then she goes on to say how he's moved on.

    you never missed a thing

probably not missing another chance, at anotehr relationship.
