Shell of a Man

Here is another song off the forthcoming "Love" which is a great album, not quite as polished as "Emotion is Dead". It's a little less pop and a little more rock but I think it's got a good feel. I'm not sure about a few words so help me out. Later...

i love the juliana theory, i have like every song by them... but eh i dunno, this new TJT album: love, isn't that great. it's too like.. this techno rock or something. i'm not really liking it.

sloppy_agnes speaks true. TJT's Love material lacks the subtle elegance Emotion carried. the music is a lot more aggressive and guitar driven rock. however, i really like the piano accompaniment to this track.

whatever... yall are too picky... i love Love and Emotion about the same cuz it's not like other things I hear before... hell, they dont even sound like each other!;) and really, why wish for your fave band to release an album identical to their previous one? im glad they tried something different, cuzhey... it works...

This song is awesome... Some Lyrical Corrections: -First verse : It's worthless IN any of this -Third verse : Love is the answer, INANE as it seems -Fourth verse : I can sense your hell Good stuff.. Take it easy..

i like this song because it shows emotional maturity not seen in many bands: the fact that they realize how pointless it is to be angry and hostile all the time, and that living with love is so much more fulfilling that living with hate

To me this song is about an extremely bitter breakup where both partners have done anything to irritate eachother.. The rage that seems to be boiling over in the singer has got to a point where he just wants to forget it.. He's trying to convince himself to let it go, in the repeating of ''I wont nurture n feed this bitterness/hate/hostility/pain''.. But in truth he cant forget it, ''why can't i let go, i'm only the shell of a man.. im lost in myself and afraid of whoi really am''.. And falls back into the vicious circle of hate...

So, really, what the hell HAPPENED to the Juliana Theory? Emotion Is Dead: good. Love: great for the first two songs, then this song completely derails the album and undoes everything they've ever done in their careers. It just. Drags. On. If this was my first exposure to them, I'd loathe their very existence.

I really enjoyed this song , as my favorite song on this album. I wasn't really a fan of theirs prior, though I'd heard of them. I got a lot of play out of this album though.
