Elvis was a skinhead
He wore a grease mole wig
Ate fried chicken everyday
He was a real fat dick
Elvis had no hair at all
He wore a pork chop on his head
Elvis use to be the king
But now the fucker’s dead (he’s dead)

On the day you died
Fat old women cried
To many drugs one day
Made you go away

Elvis lived with Hitler
In his final days of hell
Played Las Vegas fifty times
And ate at Taco Bell

On the day you died
Fat old women cried
To many drugs one day
Made you go away

On the day you died
Fat old women cried
To many drugs one day
Made you go away

Not sure about some of these lyrics but if you think any of them are wrong let me know and I'll check it out and possibly change it.

it's such a good song... it doesn't seem to have any underlying meaning though. what i get out of it is that he got more attention that he deserved... people viewed him as something he wasnt.

Are these lyrics really from The Ataris? I can't find any proof (i.e. CDs, EPs, b-sides) that it's their song and it really doesn't sound like something they would sing. Often, people will put songs by a band no one knows of in a fileshare program (such as Kazaa) and say it's by a more popular group just because they sound alike. I'm not saying it isn't them, it just seems a tad off.

Yes, they're Ataris lyrics. The song was on an early 7-inch. atarisonline.com/audio/Demos/Elvis%20Was%20a%20Skinhead.mp3

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
