it is good to recognize that are we who commit the mistakes, therefore from time to time we blame to those that have little that to see in our problems, SPINESHANK you r so fuckin RIGHT, it is then that me does not please to be blaming someone that has not done anything, because I become those that I consider hypocrites

The song seems to be about how they want to just conform to the situation and become something fake "synthetic" just so they can cope with it but they still have the conflicting views. I have felt like that plenty of times.
i've reached a point in my life where every day is the same and it feels everyday is wasted, i'm not sure what to think and not sure why my days aren't exciting and memorable like they used to be. I think about my situation for some reason when i hear this song, i'm sure some of you can see how this would relate, but not completely, i dunno, just a thought...
i think this song is about schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. the word synthetic is possibly referring to the idea that the singer is constantly hearing voices in his head, and he learns to live with that after a while, and when johny santos sings "i will never follow you" he's telling the voices to leave him alone. I'm not completely sure as to what this song means, but this is just my observation.
personnally this song was abouit blocking things out. I felt like shit, constant depression and i thought the only way to cure this was to be unfeeling, emotionless and apathetic, effectivly "synthetic". If it helped i woul;d take it. the line "synthetic ill become if it makes this go away" was pretty much the summary of my idea.
bipolar much???here is n example...parents n kids...the parents try to control the kids every action even till age 19 n on...n the kid is always i hope i never become...i wont let myself become u...yeah ill listen if it shuts u up...but i wont become wat u want of me...n ends up...just like they want em...hint...synthetic..means man made...(sp?)...so someone shaping someone else pschotically...some word like that...
Deffo my fave song from Spineshank.
This was one of my favorite songs growing up. I pretty much related it to how my parents were trying to create me into something they wanted me to be. After having left the nest and becoming my "own" it still relates(to me) on a diff level. Seems now society is the enemy here turning me into one of their drones. Something I like about this song is when the 2 entities scream at each other. I feel this kind of gives a face to the opposing party, and the screams are equally powerful. Spineshank still rocks as much as I remember!
