The way I hear it is more like, She won't waste time, On L.A. Men ...tery talk"
With the rest of it almost as an after thought. Almost as if he considered just out right telling us that the girl in question is more than a little "selective," but then thinks better of it and instead decides to suggest that shes just well educated. Jim was all about word play. Don't know, to me it seems like the kind of thing he'd do. :P
This is a rock nugget and one of my favorite Doors tunes. Very surreal song about a movie starlet I wonder. Considering it came from the pen of Jim Morrison, it wouldn't surprise me if the true meaning is never known.
Also about the television/movie industry as a "fox". It had a subtle way of influencing just about every aspect of people's lives last century. For the tv: "got the world/locked up/inside a plastic box."
Such a beat and trick lyrics and just, so, wow. But maybe i'm just in incredible awe of anything the Doors did.

I like this song because it seems like it is about a woman who may feel like she is superior to Jim and that is something I think he would be very intrigued by. She sounds very confident, unsentimetal and driven and would probably not put up with anyone's BS. I am sure Jim would feel very challenged by a woman who would think nothing of kicking him to the curb. I would definitely agree that it may be about an actress. I am not sure about it being Pamela, I always saw her as somewhat vulnerable and masochistic with regard to Jim.
