Stand Here With Me Lyrics
You always reached out to me and helped me believe
All those memories we share
I will cherish every one of them
The truth of it is there's a right way to live
And you showed me
So now you live on in the words of a song
You're a melody
You stand here with me now
Just when fear blinded me you taught me to dream
I'll give you everything I am and still fall short of
What you've done for me
In this life that I live
I hope I can give love unselfishly
I've learned the world is bigger than me
You're my daily dose of reality
You stand here with me
On and on we sing
On and on we sing this song
'Cause you stand here with me
All those memories we share
I will cherish every one of them
The truth of it is there's a right way to live
And you showed me
So now you live on in the words of a song
You're a melody
I'll give you everything I am and still fall short of
What you've done for me
In this life that I live
I hope I can give love unselfishly
I've learned the world is bigger than me
You're my daily dose of reality
On and on we sing this song

My senoir year in highschool, my best friend and I had an ad made in the back of the yearbook dedicated to the years (and years) of our friendship. It ends with this song. Im not sure how everyone else interpreted it, but be it to his fans or God or whoever, the song is a thank you to the person who was by his side, and thats why we put it on our page. =)
This song is obviously about someone or something that changed his life for the better. It may be a friend, his son, or God. Or it may be all of them together. But the one thing that is obvious is that he is truly and deeply thankful and is trying his best to thank and repay the person(s).
If TReamoti wrote it, he probably wrote it for his mom who died, If Stapp wrote it, I don't know because obviously the song is about the death of someone close to you.
the meaning of this song in my eyes is that he is thanking a best friend or a lover for helping him through some rough times and hence "cause you stand here with me..." also this song has AMAZING guitar to it (Tremonti rules.. I want his PRS)
This song is great ... hope this song doesn't get overhyped like some of Creeds other stuff, I'm cringing for Bullets to be popular.
I love this song! It shows how much just one person supporting us can make a difference!
I think this is a wonderful love song. It soesn't circle the "Oh, you got a sexy bob!" image portrayed by many alleged music bands. A welcomed change. P.S. Eatadick: totally unacceptable
I like the 'on and on we sing' part the most! :)
I agree with "bee_happy". The "on and on we sing" is the best part. Now does this song sound much like any of their other songs (not to start arguments or anything, but seriously, does it?? I don't think so..) thanks!

this song to me... reminds me of my departed grandfather it stands perfect for the lines of one lost either by death, or of love... but the song tells of stapps longing for peace and letting everyone he holds dear know it.
peace out
