In The Same Room Lyrics
fingers in, listen what voices say. you always wrote for me, ego. risk worth taking risk worth leaving. seems i'm still afraid to promise. too big to stop too big to hold on to. trade up for the fast ride. trade your friends. train passes us. pulling your teeth you push away. cancel plans, cancel them all. check your breath for cold and hold on. please hold on. no pictures left to burn good-bye to. the smell of ash and white walls blank. phase passes us. horizontal lines and button up. the drawers of paper all say one thing. like music boxes custom made. time passes us.don't move. be still. be silent.

good song
I think this person is debating whether to break up with the person he loves. Just a guess. But a good song.
This song is about closure. "No pictures left to burn goodye to, the smell of ash and white walls blank." This song reminds me of Ben Folds' 'smoke'- "Leaf by leaf and page by page throw this book away, all the sadness all the rage throw this book away. Rip out the binding and tear the glue and all of the grief we never even knew we had it all along... We are smoke."
Such a good song. I love the way that you ca listen to Static Prevails up until this song and it just washes over you. Then the part where Tim screams "Be still, be silent" just launches out. Second only to Claire of Static Prevails!
I've never heard this song before, but the lyrics make me want to hear it. I need money, ha ha. I love these lyrics though, you guys have major speciality with music. JImmy eat world that is.
great song i like the boxes custom made part cuz it';s true. JEW ROX!!!
fingers in what?
this song is about the ending of something great. everyone knew that it would eventually end. and they seem to be scared of letting it end, because they don't know what to expect after the falling. another pricless JEW song
amazing song! after reading through the words i read "trade up for the fast ride". so ace that they use the same lyrics years later in Futures, keeping the old with the new. you rock jimmy eat world!
I always thought this song was about someone contemplating suicide.
