hey i was wondering if this song might be about the suicide of john spence (original ND singer)...otherwise im out of ideas...its an insane song though, very sad and an interesting turn for our ska/new wave heroes

I have never been able to figure this song out. If anybody knows, please tell me! Like, who is Miss Fried, or who does she represent?
Maybe Miss Fried is her, and she is trying to tell herself things to remember, trying not to take her beaus (or dads?) need to be alone and stuff personally.. trying to remember it has nothing to do with her, and how he's not trying to hurt her.

Seems like Eric and the gang surely did fight for their dreams, as the song says. There's several songs on that first album that refer to their hopes and determination of "making it". Especially Big City Train.
