You and your museum of lovers
The precious collection you've housed in your covers
My simpleness threatened by my own admission

And the bags are much too heavy
In my insecure condition
My pregnant mind is fat full with envy again

But I still love to wash in your old bathwater
Love to think that you couldn't love another
I can't help it, you're my kind of man

Wanted and adored by attractive women
Bountiful selection at your discretion
I know I'm diving into my own destruction

So why do we choose the boys that are naughty?
I don't fit in so why do you want me?
I know I can't tame you, but I just keep trying

'Cause I love to wash in your old bathwater
Love to think that you couldn't love another
I'm on your list with all your other women
But I still love to wash in your old bathwater
You make me feel like I couldn't love another
I can't help it, you're my kind of man

Why do the good girls
Always want
The bad boys?

So I pacify problems with kisses and cuddles
Diligently doubtful through all kinds of trouble
Then I find myself choking on all my contradictions

'Cause I still love to wash in your old bathwater
Love to think that you couldn't love another
Share a toothbrush, you're my kind of man
I still love to wash in your old bath water
Make me feel like I couldn't love another
I can't help it, you're my kind of man

Woo
Doo-doo-ooh
Doo-doo-doo
Doo-doo-ooh

No, I can't help myself
I can't help myself
I still love to wash in your old bathwater
Ooh

the song isn't about her being in a relationship per se more than falling for this guy who EVERYBODY falls for, somebody who charm the pants off anyone and she knows that nothing can come of it but she's "diving into her own destruction" anyway.

    Song Meaning

This song is about being jealous of your boyfriend/girlfriends past relationships (‘My pregnant mind is fat full with envy again.’) and the insecurities that come with thinking of it (‘I don’t fit in so why do you want me?’). From experience of being jealous/insecure about a partners ex’s, I think it perfectly describes the problems it can cause in ones’ mind as you know it won’t help and will only cause bother thinking/talking about it however a part of you can never let it go (‘No I can't help myself’) and so you keep bringing it up (‘But I still love to wash in your old bathwater’) in hope of some resolution, when in fact it only puts a strain on the relationship as your partner cannot change the past and creates insecurities and doubts in yourself that you aren’t good enough or as good as those in the past. Great song!

i think its about a girl who is dating a bad boy who is virtually untame-able. She knows he wont be any benefit to her, their relationship only causes problems. Yet every girl in town has eyes for him. She feels insecure and wonders why the hell he even chose her, with so many chicks lined up for him, and so many hes already been with. "So I pacify problems with kisses and cuddles" means shes trying to throw a cover over the differences, and just try to act like any other gf hes had and be affectionate with him, etc......Ahhhh, a position i loathe in now!

this song is about a naive girl in love with an unreachable bad boy type of guy. he probably has his fun with her and then goes out with the other girls who are eyeing him but the girl tries to shrug this off because he actually chose gasp her to be his flavor of the week. and she keeps stubbornly telling herself that she doesnt me, she can "pacify problems with kisses and cuddles" then she is "choking on her contradictions" and she knows he's bad but she's insecure and cant let go.

I think it's about being in love with someone who has absolutely no feelings for you. And that they are loved by everyone and they have no chance with them but they can't get over it,

this song reminds me of cold and snow. i'm getting cold thinking about it and my mothers got the heat blasted in here! thats probably cause i discovered the fabulousness of this song just this janurary during that famously cold and snowy winter we had last year. dammet i love this song!!! i put this one and new on repeat. except that one reminds me more of my xmas break in which i spent the whole 2 weeks playing my N64 just to avoid finishing my do or die english assignment. good times.....

to me this song is about being in a relationship and feeling inferior to that person knowing that they could have anyone in the world but they're with you and even though that makes you happy and your in love you still can't help but feel skeptical in a way.

To me this song is about how you're in a relationship and that relationship has problems. No matter what though you still care about him.

"...so why do we choose the boys that are naughty? I don't fit in so why do you want me?..." that's the best!! It shows that even girls like Gwen have insecurities

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

He apologizes for missing her calls in the second verse and promises to return them because for him, speaking to her is the most important thing. “Well, I get lost inside my head / In this chaos, you’re my calm / And I will find my feet again / ‘Cause еven the worst days of my life will always еnd / At midnight in your arms,” sings Ed Sheeran in the chorus, revelling in his good luck.
