Obviously it's about a self-centered guy and his girl who is bummed by that. I would think. He also didn't note anything she loved. Maybe he just did not pay any attention to her so much. I mean, if he had there would probably be a line about what she likes, or maybe what they both do.
Of course he noted what she loved. He said "You love me." That's all that's important, isn't it? :) I like the line comparing his liking of fishsticks, to the love of this girl. Wouldn't you be impressed with that?
