ahem it was john lennon. john lennon from the beatles. just thought i'd clarify, because i've never heard of yoko ono and john denver being together. yeah.
my favorite part of this song is when he tries to sound like yoko "AIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEE!" that's so great.

I think the bit about the pun refers to the "Barenaked as two virgins...." part, as well as the Oh no thing
I love the fact tht the part in the middle where he "yoddles" sounds exactly like what Yoko Ono sounded like when she tried to sing, even though she coudn't
this song makes me wanna dance. and its not directly about Yoko, no. not to me at least. ya know.
yeah. it's not about yoko specifically, he's saying to a girl "Be my Yoko Ono." basically, i'd give up rock and roll for you.
this song is about some guy who wants his girl to follow him around in all that he does. he compares their relationship to that of yoko ono and beattles great john lennon.
This song does have the deeper meaning of a guy who would give up anything to be with this girl but it is also making fun of Yoko Ono and the whole situation with her and the Beatles. It is a classic BNL song, funny but meaningfull.
