Doll Lyrics
you know in all the times that we shared
i've never been so scared
doll me up in my bad luck
i'll meet you there
i wish i never had taken this dare
i wasn't quite prepared
doll me up in my bad luck
doll me up in my bad luck
i'll meet you there
i've never been so scared
doll me up in my bad luck
i'll meet you there
i wish i never had taken this dare
i wasn't quite prepared
doll me up in my bad luck
doll me up in my bad luck
i'll meet you there

I'm not sure what it means but it's a great song. Dave Grohl is a great lyricist... I just wish he would take music as seriously now as he did then.
I wish this song was just a bit longer its too short

I think it's about trying to get over a lover's death, but I can't be arsed going over it right now.
I think this song relates how a person knows someone for a long time, and then finds themselves falling in love with them... I think this because I've been in the situation myself, so it sort of relates that sentiment, to me at least...
The line "Doll me up in my bad luck" seems to say, "take notice of my faults, see who I am, but realize that there's more to me than my past indiscretions"...maybe it refers to how he probably screwed up in the past, and wants to reconcile with the other, like in the lne "I'll meet you there..." Just my thoughts anyway.
this song is short and its the first track because its an introduction. the "i'll meet you there..." sort of invites you in to listen to the rest. and dont you think it sort of sums up the whole album? cuz the colour and the shape is pretty much about love, all the shit that comes with it, and especially the good stuff too.
Nice mellow song, reminds me of a lullaby.
how come this isnt the whole song?
I don't like it much as the first track on the colour and the shape, I think it would be much better between 2 heavier songs later on in the album. Good song though.
what the hell does it mean?
