Wake Up

I always thought of it as the "war" and competition between bands in the hard rock genre (korn's style). Jon is talking about how they compete but they still try and deliver the same thing. The whole part about taking the stage and remember why they play is a direct reference.

I thought this was about internal problems, conflicts, and arguments happening inside KoRn the band.

Jon knows that they love to play music, so he made this song to reunite them, hence the line "And remember why we play for "

Korn does not play for money dumb ass, and why the fuck are all these losers waisting their lives to post a comment on a band they dont like? If korn only played for money then they would be one of the bands against people Downloading music. Jon even said in one of his interviews that he didnt care if people downloaded music he was just honored that people want to listen to them, they play to get there music out not for money, fucking stupid asses these days

I think this is what Jon would be saying if he happened to be the leader of the military during war. He wonders why there is always so much fighting in this world, and states, "You are my brothers, each one I would die for." He just wishes the enemies would just wake up and just let it go. But he'd rather just surrender and die than fight through or try to put the conflict to an end. The statement "Remember what we play for" means he'd be telling the remaining soldiers to remember what they stand for but to just give up, which is why I'm glad he won't run for President.

i think it means that everyone needs to wake up and relize that everyone are brothers and sisters and they need to stop fighting and stop hating and how jon is tired of all the fighting that he just wants disappear until the fighting stop

i love the energy and the line "wake the fuck up" its talking about hard times in the band when they would always fight and this is how jon feels about that

To me...This song could be more about you and...friends. You know you love them, your "brothers" All the shit that goes on, and whatnot, you just want it to be good again. you want them to WAKE THE FUCK UP! and realize, that what they are doing, is hurting you. you need it to stop, you need them to realize, and this song is basically asking them to wake up, stop the fighting, your explaining to them that even if stuff happens...you'd do anything for them, so..you just have to learn to let things go.

i like this song it reminds me about my life at school so its pretty cool

Bullshit....korn was on the brink of breaking up when they recorded their "life is peachy" album....fighting everyday about pety little shit. Once they finished the album and played live all the fighting stopped
