yep.. this song sure is about the negativity of the media. The teeny boppers have ruined media so much that scott was encouraged to right a song about it. And what a vengeful and cynical song it is! There are a couple of teeny-bopping mtv lovers in my neighborhood and when i see them going by, i blast this song and they look at each other and just figure I am being annoying becuase they coudnt figure out what the song meant for their lives!
haha nice. :)

I particularly like the lyric "what if your words could be judged like a crime?" I think that reflects how we truly don't have freedom of speech.
This song totally reflects the way I've felt from the beginning of high school. It's like lashing out at everyone that you've ever hated.
I looooove this song. Creed speaks from my heart all the time, this is just one of the many reflections of my feelings... too bad I'm not that talented to write it and make all that money. LoL
That's ironic...this is an anti-paparazzi song, and probably 200 nosy Vjs interviewed him about it. I'd have to agree with most of these POV's and it's sad when even interviewers are too dense to realize the guys just want to be left alone, especially after this wake-up call.
Yeah, and for those of you who know about how MTV covered Scott's car accident (they said that he wasn't really hurt, he just faked and accident so he could take time off from doing concerts) this song really expresses this incident. I've been blasting this song ever since I heard about it.
this song reeks of blatent, blind vengance, I like it, it screems how that no matter who or what tries to tie us down in our life we will naturally trie to beat them for the simple fact that we want to show that no matter what we are not going to be held down, we are not going to go quetly, I think this song should be the anthem to every kid that was and is piked on because no matter what never , ever give up, "inspired by the times you been walked on/the more you hold us down the more we press on" this song tottaly makes me want to go find the kid that piked on me in the fifth grade and just ruin his day by showing him that I actually succeded, alot better that he did, semper fi do or die
Where did all this media stuff come from? The song isn't really about revenge or anything. It's meant to teach a lesson. When he says "what if your words could be judged like a crime" he's talking about all the cruel and hateful things we say to each other. The song, simply put, is about the cruelty of humanity.
Which could be in turn the media. It can be anyone who is oppressed by their oppressors. I personally love to think of Gov't on this one!

i'm in love with this song. i love the dynamics in the beginning how it goes from soft to loud quickly. i think that this is the best song from Human Clay :)
