Where Have All The Classics Gone? Lyrics
Of course we will survive this golden age where ideas are just old ideas rehashed. Quality, style and function aren't applied. Where have all the classics gone. I've heard it said there will never be a classic again. Art repeats itself. I cannot tell but it pays to be a skeptic. Cause there is nothing new. Where do we go from here? I've waited all my life to find the newest craze. And it does not impress me. What we need right now is a cultural revolution. Art destroys itself.

you know...piebald is kinda right. there truly is nothing new anymore. consider music. so many artists today are in one way or another building off the work of another artist. In the end, the musician's piece may sound completely new...but if you listen close enough...you can hear tinges of another artist's influence. there are some exceptions to the rule....but at some point in the future, other musicians will emerge with similar sounds and the original artist will no longer be totally new, unique and original. "I've waited all my life to find the newest craze. And it does not impress me. " (How true) and Art DOES repeat itself. (Note: This is an opinion and an opinion only. Please take it with a grain of salt)
