Words Within The Margin Lyrics

Raindrop hits the leaf, changing its position slightly on the street
next to polls of monotonous water He walks, Slipping feet from steps at random He falls

In the space between his body and the ground
comets cast of their names, stellar neurones misfire

Witnesses inhale the seed
and spit out a million branches

Buds abloom in all directions
from which events occur
relations and virused meetings
catch fire and explode
In the margin of butterfly wings
entire cycles of evolution
outplayed and faded
sparked and leaned back into
vacuum-filled nirvana

Between the two of my eyes
feverish fractals soar
dance like were they on drugs
peyote labyrinths re-mapped exits
A hasty blink
and a million life-to-comes
will never be the same
as they never were

In the kinetic energy of a moving fist
lies a birth-machine for a paralell universe

With the first movement in the organic soap
came a bouquet of alternative answers
all different multiplied and re-devided

Coded in the spinal cord of a trilobite
written between the legs on the Meganeura
suburban city maps and dormant dictator semen
marked their way trough time

In the kinetic energy of a moving fist
lies a birth-machine for a paralell universe

I've got an idea of what it may be about, its actually an interesting philosophical concept that has interested me for a while now. The song seems to describe the infinite possibilities of every outcome, and every possible course of fate spawning an entirely new universe. In this concept, there are as many "parallel universes" as there are choices and occurences ever made in this and every other universe, thereby stretching to pretty much an infinite number. The lyrics are just poetic illustrations of this point, such as the raindrop moving the position of the leaf slightly. There will then be a universe where the raindrop hit the leaf, and a universe where the raindrop didnt hit the leaf. The "buds abloom on all directions" may be a descroption of the sprawling paths of fate resulting from an occurence, each resulting in its own parellel universe. In this concept, everything in the universe is therefore a "birth machine", creating new worlds whenever it interacts with its environment, as described in "In the kinetic energy of a moving fist lies a birth-machine for a paralell universe" Anyone agree?

@mikeb147 Thanks for the interpretation

I think this song is about the infinity in everything and how actions can have farther reaching consequences than it may seem

The idea of the song is similar to the "butterfly effect" (the idea that a butterfly flapping its wings can cause a hurricane halfway across the world; I'm not talking about the movie here).

As hard as it might seem to believe, I've always thought this song is about Wacking Off.

Check it: --Between the two of my eyes --feverish fractals soar --dance like were they on drugs --peyote labyrinths re-mapped exits

Describes a euphoric feeling going on in his brain.

--A hasty blink

Impulsive reaction to orgasm

--and a million life-to-comes

A million sperms inside "come"

--will never be the same --as they never were

They'll never be conceived, and we think of them as insignificant.

--In the kinetic energy of a moving fist

the repetitive back-forth ... you get it.

--lies a birth-machine for a paralell universe

in a parallel universe, the singer could just happen to be getting laid and conceive a new life with his birth-machine.

I know it's kind of disgusting, but I think it's hilarious.

haha way to ruin the song on me

@iceburn lmao. the sperm part talks about how the universe can have us born in one and not in the other.

Wow!! I think Iceburn is right, this also fits in, kinda stangely.

"In the space between his body and the ground comets cast of their names, stellar neurones misfire"

All the "potential names"... comets represent the "potential" humans that have been "misfired", so to speak ;).

Come on guys! that is not what its about. Although you do make a fair argument. But you can argue for anything really, if you think about it.

All I'm saying is the second half of the song is about jizz.

interesting analogies...but this song does follow the same theme as the rest of the album as it is a storyline.

this and morphing into primal are 2 songs after mankinds futuristic utopia is discussed, then there is the destructino of mankind/society (episode 666), then everything counts (we realized our mistakes and it was our fault, but it happened too late), then whoracle (the soothing calm after mankind is gone).

maybe this song has something to do with a person in the future thinking maybe the path we have gone was the wrong way...I'm not sure, this song has really weird vocals.

I would love for sundin/anders to post an article giving a brief description of what the lyrics mean to them.

mikeb's interp follows the theme of this album, could be thinkgin of the different outcomes nad that maybe the way humans ended up in the hive/ jester script transfigured was not the right way..

and for some reason i always found "In the kinetic energy of a moving fist lies a birth-machine for a paralell universe" the energy wasted to throw a punch is the same energy that can be put to use to come up with something incredible...a machine to a different universe

but idk...this song has really weird lyrics
